   They have them at Disney World. We had them last Nov 2013. I think it was at MK close to Swiss Family tree. They were wonderful!

   Yes, just as someone else posted, they are at the Magic Kingdom very near the Swiss Family Tree house, and right next door to where you meet Tinkerbell. It is called Aloha Isle. You can also get the orange flavor whip, or even a Dole Whip float (the whip plus pineapple juice). Very tasty and refreshing on a hot afternoon!

   This recipe sounds delicious, but one of the reasons I am so in love with Dole Whips is because they are dairy free! All of the mock-up recipes use milk products...just wondering how they are actually made?

   I have tried several recipes. Can't find one like the real thing. :( After lots of searching, the thing I found is, from my understanding, it is a mix that they order.

   hmm?since the mix is made with coconut oil, maybe if you made coconut milk ice cream and used that instead of dairy? I might have to try it?.then of course I'd have to go to Disney to compare, for research purposes, of course! :D

    Thanks for the post. Menchie's Frozen Yogurt offers "Dole Soft Serve Pineapple" -- a great substitution if you can't make it to Disneyland/Disney World for the real thing + it's dairy free, gluten-free and nonfat. :)

    I've seen a version on Pinterest that used almond milk and agave. Try to hunt that one down. It was tasty!

    They make it in Hawaii (as you might expect) at the Dole plant on Oahu, the malls and at the airport. I looked like all they were using was pineapple, but who knows? It was the best thing I've ever eaten on a hot day.

    I've had Dole Whip on Oahu and at Disneyland. Definitely favor the flavor on the island. The closest I've come to re-creating the experience is to add 1/2 of a fresh pineapple and a 1/3 to 1/2 of a half gallon of pineapple sherbet in a blender topped off with ice. Blend and voila! BTW since you're blending, it's ok to leave the core on the pineapple! It's the sweetest part ;)

    I found a recipe that uses whipped topping instead. Like cool whip. This will make it dairy free!

    Our recipe is not dairy free. It has ice cream in it! It is very delicious!

    Thanks for sharing. It looks delicious!I've made something similar, using 2 - 4 * frozen bananas as a substitute for the ice cream. (Cut the bananas in chunks first and freeze in a Ziploc bag.)This makes the recipe sugar-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, and Paleo-friendly. :)*depending on size

    They actually use some mixture in a bag into the ice cream dispenser. I found it a while ago while searching for the recipe and you can buy it online for around $30

    1 whole pineapple ? cut up and frozen overnight1 cup of coconut milk (or milk of choice)Directions:Place frozen chunks of pineapple and coconut milk into a food processor or high powered blender.Turn on food processor and blend until the consistency becomes creamy. You may have to stop several times and scoop down the pineapple.Makes about 3-4 servings.

    But ALL of the sites that link to your recipe claim it's for a "dairy-free" version, which is why people looking for, well, the "dairy-free" version are so confused...

    We know this is not dairy free with the vanilla ice cream in the ingredients. We have never claimed that it's dairy free. Not sure why other sites are saying that it is. We do know that it's super good and refreshing!! :)

    From those that live in northern Utah, if you can't make it to Disneyland or Oahu, they now serve Dole Whip at Lagoon. We buy season passes since we live close and we like to take the kiddos during less crowded days and times. We discovered the Dole Whip "shack" last year and when we received our generous portions of creamy pineapple goodness, our tummies were delighted! Making it at home is obviously awesome and cheaper but it's always good to have a backup plan. ;o)

    At the Magic Kingdom, Dole Whip can be purchased at the Aloha Isle in Adventureland.

    Did you know that you can have the real dole whip if you rent an ice cream machine? My wife's business www.doodillys.com rents the machines and sells the real pineapple dole whip mixes.

    The Dole Whips can be found at the Tiki Room entrance in Disneyland! You can enjoy one while you're waiting to go into the Tiki Room! ;-)

    I love this delicious treat! Someone me a great recipe that mimics this one almost perfectly, and is dairy free! Mix pineapple sherbert with 100% pineapple juice and you get an amazing smoothie!

    You can also get them at the Polynesian Resort in Disney World. For some reason they taste better than the ones sold in Magic Kingdom.

    I am unable to find the recipe for the, Dole Whip Float. It looks like it is made with Orange juice, etc. If you could kindly let me know where I can find the recipe, I would be so grateful. I got the, Disneyland Dole Whip recipe, but there is a picture of the float and it is orange in color and the Dole Whip is yellow. So I know they are two different recipes. So please send it to me if possible. Many thanks.

    I met my wife working at Aloha Isle at Walt Disney World almost 20 years ago. The Dole Whip is a powdered base mixed with water and chilled in a soft serve machine.

    Hi Christy, I'm not sure about Florida, but the Dole Whip is in Disneyland next to the Tiki Room. Its a cute anamatronic show featuring beautiful birds! Always a hightlight of our trips to Disneyland. :)
